Course Overview
This course explores the critical dynamics for effective leadership of productive workplace teams. We will apply the Drexler-Sibbett model of team performance as a roadmap to help us discover strategies for creating and sustaining high performance teams. We will explore key elements of team leadership including: trust-building, vision alignment, maximizing commitment, inspiring performance, and delivering results.

Objectives/Topics
As a result of taking this course, you will learn to:

  • Understand the nature of teams

  • Identify methods and techniques for creating and sustaining high performance teams

  • Experience and explore the critical dynamics of effective teams

  • Understand the process and flow of team development

  • Complete a Workplace Motivators assessment and apply the insights gained toward increased effectiveness in inspiring team performance

  • Create an action plan for enhancing the effectiveness of a team with which you serve
