Project managers, team leaders, business or functional line managers, business analysts, and project team members who are responsible for the improvement of business services and want to be certified at the foundation level.
Course Overview
The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Version 3 defines a set of best practices for the management of IT services. ITIL v3 highlights the increasing value of lifecycle integration and business integration to service management.
In this course, participants will examine the lifecycle that is used to manage IT services and to deliver to business expectations.
Objectives
Using a case study approach, the core disciplines of ITIL best practices will be reinforced. Upon completing this course, participants will be able to successfully complete the associated ITIL exam required for entry into the future ITIL v3 intermediate-level training courses. The exam is included as part of the course.

Topics
The ITIL v3 Foundation course consists of seven discussion areas, exam preparation with a mock exam and finally, an exam administered by a proctor. The first two discussion areas are Introduction to ITIL v3 Foundation and Introduction to ITSM.
This is followed by the Service Lifecycle and the five core modules:
- Service strategy
- Service design
- Service transition
- Service operations
- Continual service improvement
