Java Server-Side Programming I

Course Number:  548-TF
Recommended Duration:  5 days

Intended Audience
Experienced programmers (COBOL, Visual Basic, or some other language).  A three-day, abbreviated version of this course is available for experienced C++ programmers.

Course Overview
In this course, the experienced programmers are introduced to Java. Participants will create, test, and deploy Java applications servlets, and JSPs.  There are 24 machine exercises.

Objectives
Participants will learn object oriented basics, and how to create, test, and deploy programs using the Java language.  Students write applications, servlets, and JSPs as part of the hands-on exercises.

Prerequisites
Students must have programming experience.  Experience with text editor, manipulating files and directories, and using a browser is required.
