Converting to COBOL for OS/390 & VM

Recommended Duration:  2 days

Intended Audience
Experienced COBOL programmers who are converting applications from an OS/VS COBOL environment to a new COBOL environment.

Objectives
Students who complete this course will be able to convert existing OS/VS COBOL programs to COBOL for OS/390 & VM or COBOL for MVS & VM (formerly COBOL/370), and develop new programs using the new features of the language.  In addition, students will acquire facility with the new compiler itself.  There are five hands-on exercises.

Prerequisites
The student should have experience coding COBOL programs and should be able to code JCL to run simple batch jobs.
