Intended Audience
C programmers who will be designing and coding applications that are to be run in an MVS environment.

Course Overview
This course teaches students to code, compile, link, and run C programs in the MVS environment.  There are five machine exercises included.

Objectives
Students who complete this course will be able to code, compile, link, and run C programs in the MVS environment, including programs that reference sequential (QSAM) files, VSAM files, DB2 data, and that communicate with IMS or subroutines written in COBOL or Assembler.

Prerequisites
Students entering this course should have a programming background in C, and should be familiar with ISPF (or any other editor used to write programs in the installation).  In addition to the student handouts, students should have access to the following manuals (in print or online): - SC09-2360 C/C++ Language Reference - SC09-2362 C/C++ Programming Guide - SC09-2361 C/C++ Users Guide - SC28-1663 C/C++ Run Time Library Reference - SX09-1313 C/C++ Reference Summary
