Intended Audience
Programmers and analysts, who need to know how to use ISPF/PDF to edit data, run jobs, maintain data sets, or use applications written to run under ISPF/PDF. This course is also appropriate for programmers and analysts who need to know how to code JCL to run jobs in z/OS.
Objectives
Students who complete this course will be able to accomplish work using ISPF and JCL. The editor, job submission and monitoring, utility functions, and productivity features of ISPF are covered. Students will be able to code JCL to run batch jobs, use Sort/Merge and the most common batch utility programs.
Prerequisites
A basic understanding of computer concepts is needed. Although a programming background is not required, people with such a background will generally get the most out of this course.
